Subject: Sunday the 4th and prayer
Hello class,
No Sunday School this Sunday, and the service will only be held at
9:30. So that gives you two weeks to read Exodus Chapter 7 and lesson 4
in the study guide. No excuses! (And happy 4th.)
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Round 2 of meetings with church leadership took place today. It was
even more informative than round 1, and, for lack of a better term,
"convicting." The phrase "put up or shut up" comes to mind. After I've
had a chance to digest the meeting and to pray about it I will either
draft a lengthy email or make some calls to touch base with you. Thanks
in advance for you time and input.
Saturday July 24 is our field trip to help the Meinsen family in
Jefferson City prepare their home to host Capitol Commission
functions. Please email me or Rachael if you have paint tape, brushes,
rollers, and any other paint-type-stuff you can donate to the cause. We
will pool our money to supply the paint and whatever is not donated.
PRAYER
Marsha's cousin, Amy, is 5 mos pregnant and has found out that the
baby's vital organs are not developing.  Amy's health is also at risk.
Please pray for this family as they deal with loss and that Amy will
remain healthy.  May God also give them wisdom as they talk to their
young daughter Ella about what is taking place.
Alec Kallenberger is doing great, praise God!
Shane's neighbor, Colette, is unable to speak or use her feet.  Please
pray for her healing as she goes through rehabilitation.
Praise the Lord the McCall's had a good vacation with extended family!
But they remind us to pray for the entire gulf region with fishers and
tourism industry hit so hard by the oil spill.
Matt and Rachael and company take mission trip to Chicago on July 10.
Please pray especially for God to overcome language barriers and that
the block parties would bring people to a saving knowledge of Jesus
Christ, and then that the church there can disciple the new believers.
Also pray that the children of the missionaries will be able to cope
with the late evenings of the block parties.
Please also pray for our class and our children as we seek God's will.
Don't forget to pray also for our ministry opportunity in Jeff City,
and for Capitol Commission itself.
Have a great 4th of July,
Reggie
