I failed to get this posted last week (and frankly, it has been awhile since I posted a blog update with lesson notes ... I'm working to correct that by uploading past notes to the archives section in the next couple of weeks). Anyway, since we just got partway through Exodus 7 last week, we'll be focusing on the first three plagues (referred to by some as the "loathesome plagues") in this week's lesson. Lesson notes can be downloaded by clicking here.
Great day today for those who were able to travel to Jefferson City to help with the Meinsen's painting project. I think they were very pleased. Paul and Joye just went on and on about what a blessing God has made our class to them and their Capitol Commission ministry. More on that soon, including a blog post with photos from today (both working in the house and touring the Capitol building in the afternoon - thanks Shane!).
And, for those keeping score at home, yes, I am still behind on the blog updates from the Chicago mission trip. Anticipate two more blog updates on that: my daily recap of the final day of the trip, and a summary entry of the whole trip from Rachael sometime later. And I have LOTS of pictures (and a fair amount of video too). Probably the best thing to do with the pics is to eventually upload them to their own facebook album and open them up for tagging, captions, comments, etc. Maybe that will happen sometime in the next few weeks. Until then, for those who either have sworn off facebook entirely (who could blame them) or who just can't wait, you can download a zip file of all our photos from the Chicago mission trip by clicking here.
Finally, what do you think of the new blog layout and design? I'm still working on cleaning it up, but the blogger service has some new bells and whistles and it had been awhile since I had played around with the options. Any suggestions for improvement? There isn't much you can't do with this system - not bad for a free program. You gotta love Google.
Good night and God Bless. See you Sunday AM!
Matt
